Here are a few recipes for some popular hot alcoholic beverages.
Each recipe makes one serving.

Mulled Wine

Heat all ingredients in a saucepan over medium heat. Do not allow to boil. Pour into a mug and serve.

Put all ingredients in a mug. Heat on high for 1 to 1 1/2 minutes, until hot.

Pour boiling water into a mug. Add sugar and butter. Stir until sugar is dissolved. Add rum. Sprinkle nutmeg on top.

Stick cloves into lemon. Place in a mug. Add brandy and sugar. Top up mug with boiling water.
