Waldorf Salad

My in-laws requested this salad with turkey dinner one year. Ingredients

1 cup apples, chopped
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 cup celery, chopped
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup raisins
1/4 cup walnuts
Sprinkle apples with lemon juice. Add all other ingredients. Toss to coat all pieces with mayonnaise.
Variations

Add a tin of tuna or salmon to make it a main course salad.
Use seedless green grapes in place of raisins. Cut them in half.
Use toasted almonds or pecans in place of walnuts.
